Will 800 watts be too much or just right?

So I already bought a Kicker CompVR 12" sub woofer with a single ported box. I also bought a 800 watt amp. I was wondering if this sub will be able to handle the power or will it be too much for it?
So you won't have to search up, The RMS:400 watts and the peak:800 but it doesn't matter. But i've also heard that it can take a beating which i wouldn't want to put it through.

yes 800 watts is enough if you're playing that loud thumping annoying music that pisses people off

CVR's are not known to be significantly under-rated, or under-rated at all.

800w rms would be overkill, and you'd be at a point where damage due to overpowering would be very possible, if not likely.

500w and careful use? Sure.
600w? I wouldn't.

800? Not smart at all.
