I think it's a good idea. With the way things are now, I believe that it is necessary for children to have them! I didn't get mine until the 7th grade and then I really didn't use it...But like I said, times are changing and they are needed! =D

wait till you are a teenager then get a phone and why so you can show it to your friends and talk a lot that's what i do or you can get a text plan or get both your chose.
