"The Institute for Studies found that every country in the world contained at least one thousand humans who do not regard worshipping a God as an utter waste of time. "

One thousand people in each country might be approximately the number who will be selected for salvation considering the general state of moral depravity and weak almost to the point of useless faith that exists in the general population.

At least one thousand? Islam has 1 1/2 billion and Christianity 2-3 billion. Then take in the rest of the world religions and I'd say atheism is dead.

But we're going in the right direction, just be happy with that. Some European countries have an atheist majority and the others are following.... Sometime in the next century the USA will catch up and we can all just get along.
