Why don't relationships and marriages WORK OUT like they did in the OLD DAYS ?

Society has changed. The court system, lawyers and judges are making a fortune off of people having problems with their marriages. People are losing their homes, vehicles, jobs and everything because their is NOT stiffer laws on divorce. People are not committed to relationships anymore...some women make a fortune just from child support and they have 2 ,3, 4 kids by different men and drawing child support from all of the different fathers. I met a guy once who said he has bought 5 different houses for 6 different women.Financial stability is what alot of women are looking for these days, not a committment. It is sad but true.P.S. As far as the guy goes, he is just as much to blame as the women. Most men are control freaks and that in itself is one of the main reasons of divorce today, he makes the woman so mad that she takes everything and doesn't look back. Hope this helps.

I have been with my husband 10 years now and we Have 3 children also....but let me tell you It has not been easy.Marriages in the olden days couples work together and had very high morals and standards. And believed in alot more. They had to stick together in order to survive,These days people have no morals or standards......they worry to much about money. But most of all there is to much outside involvement from family and friends. I say to make a marriage work you must have God in your life and morals and not let all the outsider inside your life.

well first of all,, time has changed, people just want to have sex ,and not tied down,I have been married for 6 long yrs and its the same oh crap just different days...

people were loyal to each other. There wasn't even the thought of divorce becuase it would be a disgrace..now it's an easy way out. No one believes in working out problems anymore. I believe in a 100% commitment..with that said..i left my relationship of 3 yrs because there was no commitment in sight. I wanted to be with my loved one forever, but I probably would have waited that long for a ring : ) and that wasn't what I wanted
