Why doesn't the new Mac Book Pro with retina display have a DVD/CD drive?

I know it is thinner and all, but why not just call it a Mac Book Air w/ retina display if it is not going to include the dvd/cd drive. It is about the same size as an air. I just don't get it. Any one know why they call it a Pro if it doesn't have the dvd/cd drive capability???
