my right alt key works fine. but the left alt key alone gives the alt+ctrl command. the left alt alone does not work but the left ctrl alone does. and more over the apostrophe and inverted comma key is working but this is what happens. if i put just one apostrophe (press the key once) it doesnt show and when i press it again, two show up, so i have to backspace one of them to get one apostrophe everytime. same with the inverted commas. I dont think its and issue with the key board. help me out.
i don't know if this helps but the my OS is windows 8 pro (UK) but i have set my keyboard to US international.
