Why do female celebs do more semi-naked photo shoots then male celebs?

I always open a mainstream mag/newspaper and see pics of female celebs modelling in their underware, and they are not even promoting any brand at the time, but I hardly see this with male celebs or am I reading the wrong mags?
Do female 'celebs' need to do this to get ahead more then the guys do?

i THINK THEY THINK TO BE LIKED AND ACCEPTED AND POPULAR THEY HAVE TO SHOW BARE FLESH.....But males don't have AS much pressure to do so....they can just stand there looking relaxed and rugged - and that is sexy enough....for a woman to promote sexiness it takes more flesh and pouting.....apparantly!

Cause more women are hot naked or semi-naked. The female form is sexier than the male form.
Put an extra 20 or 30 pounds on both.....Female: curvy, pleasently round. Male: look at that gut!
