hey, I've been using alt-codes on my computer for about 4 years now, but all of a sudden today, when i type in the codes on microsoft word (they work on the internet or any other program), they don't work. does anyone know why they aren't? is there a specific setting i need it to be in to use them?

i'm running office 2010 on windows 7. i don't have a virus, i know that, but i'm thinking it's probably a change in setting, but i don't know where to go to set it...
