white pixels on my Samsung DLP - how to fix? ?

I recently noticed a white pixel on my Samsung 42" DLP. after reading online, this can be caused by dust on the mirror/lens. I tried to clean the dust out, but think i made it worse because there are many more white pixels now. They sometimes blink too.

before I call a tv repair, does anyone have suggestions on how to fix this or what may be the cause?
