Mercedes Benz C-class vs. 2006 MB CLK350? I am wanting to trade in my '05 bmw 325ci for a MB.
The 2005 MB CLK320 convertible has 20,200 miles for $25,000
The 2008 MB C-Class has 12,400 miles for $28,000
The 2006 MB CLK350 has 20,400, miles for $24,000

all without taxes and such.

Which would last me longer and have less frequent maintenance problems? Overall, which would be a better purchase

I would buy the CLK350 since it has the newer V6 engine and 7-speed automatic transmission and is the least expensive. I cannot comment on the '08 C-class because there's not enough information. Which model? C300 or C350? Mercedes-Benz cars are very reliable, especially when equipped with the 3.5-liter V6. A friend of mine owns an 2007 E350 and in one year racked up 85,000 miles on it (all highway). It hasn't gone wrong since. Currently, it has 96,000 miles on it... or 3,000 miles more than my 11 year old Lincoln!!!

Having said that, if it is the C300 you were referring to, buy the CLK350. If it is the C350, I'd still take the CLK350, but if YOU want a car with lower mileage and longer warranty, the C350 is the safest bet.
