Where should I meet this boy for the first time?

I met this kid on facebook. He goes to a school about 30 minutes away. We've been talking for a week and we wanna meet in person! But neither of us can decide where. We don't want to go out to eat or anything like a date...we just want to meet as friends first! We're 17 and live in Tennessee if that helps anything? Anymore questions about it ask. But any ideas?

meet in public, not in private. could have someone waiting at his place and knock you unconscious and you wake up in a wheat field the next day half naked. meet at the mall. never know what he could do to you in private, facebook friend or not.
