What the h ell is happening with verizon dsl gateway?

Verizon's dsl gateway interface is screwed, I can't do any necessary configurations there, it seems that my account password is not applicable either, the displayed user name is weird, "newdsl", thats not my user name at all, what the hell is wrong with verizon.

BTW, their modem is still WEP encrypted, pretty lame!
