With the recent snow I find myself somewhat aggravated by all the kids having 'proper' sleighs. They don't have to improvise anything these days.

I think we used bin bags and cardboard.

Did you have to make do with cobbled together inventions?
Faith...a Guava tree swing? Dinner and a Show...how good is that? :)
One two- I'm guessing your current occupation is being Ray Mears.

Jolly Roger- I was fervently hoping for a pram-cart :)
Hein-PRECISLEY!!! ( although the first link is still some what posh by my standards...it has a roof )

orange box, add old pram wheels, and a bit of string for the steering, lovely kart, we used to race them down the hill, on a road believe it or not, though wasn't quite so much traffic then. But we often ended up in a crash at the bottom of the hill. Very fond memories.

jolly roger, must of been the same gang, they were certainly happy days.

we had bin bags down the snowy hills too! our best makeshift invention was 2 yoghurt pots tied together with a length of string and used as 'telephones' Hours of fun...
That an putting a bed sheet over the garden furniture to make a den.
