I'm a new driver like I've only gone out a few times in a small car haha. But I feel safest in something higher up because I get claustrophobic in cars when I'm near bigger vehicles. I'm looking for something around $6,000. I like the Jeep Liberty and the Hyundai Santa Fe and the safety ratings for both were pretty good. Plus I want something with all wheel drive. I'm VERY paranoid about getting into an accident since I was involved in a VERY bad one last year where we almost died (I was a passenger). I just want a vehicle that's safe for me and my passengers, thanks 
Oh and I'm from CT so we get some pretty brutal storms in the winter so it needs to be efficient in the snow. I don't know much about cars so anything will be helpful..
