This description may not be entirely accurate (I only remember bits and pieces). Anyway, something happens to the old Santa Claus and so they (I'm not sure who "they" are, maybe the elves) need to find a replacement. They choose an African-American guy who is stealing from a shopping mall. I think they get to the North Pole through a glass window or portrait, something like that. Something is wrong with the "spirit of Christmas" and these children have candles or flames or something and their lights are being extinguished because not enough people believe. In the end, everything works out, and the replacement Santa reunites with his daughter. I have no idea what the plot of the movie is. Also, I think it was shown on the 25 Days of Christmas about ten years ago, maybe less. Thanks!
