What is the answer to this riddle?

A man has a cabbage, a wolf, and a sheep. He must get them all across the stream. His boat only holds one at a time, and the stream is to deep to wade. The wolf will eat the sheep and the sheep will eat the cabbage if they are alone. How does he get them across?
