It's about an Arab man who lives in the countryside in the Gulf Arabian region but commutes to work in the industrial city nearby. He has two wives. He married the first for 10 years but she was infertile so he married another and had 3 girls from the second. Of course, it's bad news for him because his culture only value boys and he does not want girls. Even his friends who had sons teased him a lot and he couldn’t stand it. As the daughters grow up in the machismo society, they each have exceptional talent and ultimately grow into successful women by taking big roles of responsibility. I'm talking about women who inspired the nation. Eventually, his view of women changes slowly as he becomes proud and surprised with his daughters’ amazing personalities. However, news hit him that his first wife has recently been pregnant. He finds hope that it may turn out to be a boy. To his dissatisfaction, another girl. But just to make it worse, the girl has less talents than her sisters, and is less academically successful - yet being the only and youngest girl she is very spoilt by her sisters and mother. She is the only daughter he truly loathes and disgusts, even though his view of women becomes more lenient and positive from his first daughters. But although his view changes, his daughters’ views of him don't change and they are so detached from him. They are so distance and can never forgive his dryness and lack of love he has given to all of them just for being women. As he grows old in age and not able to handle himself, he finds that nobody cares for him - neither his old weak wives, nor his successful daughters. Except one, the youngest and the least successful. She gives him the best care in his last days before death, and they grow more attached than ever. He looks into her eyes, and finally realises where true love lies... And the moment he dies, he regrets every moment he looked down on that one girl that could have changed his whole life.
