What are some of the influences that Renault has had on Nissan?

Engines, suspensions, things like that. I think the Nissan Versa is a sister car to the Renault Megane, is this true?

Also, does the Nissan Altima's engine come from Renault? I know the 350z has a Renault engine.

Just curious because I have an Altima, it hasn't been as reliable as I had hoped, and I know Renaults aren't the most reliable cars, so does my 2.5L I4 engine come from Renault?

Thanks.
Not exactly. I own a Nissan Altima, and it proved horrible.

Some of the problems I have with my Altima: The front passenger seat's upholstery is coming off. The carpet isn't in right. The paint scratches and chips every five seconds. The body also dents every five seconds. Its only 2 1/2 years old, and the car feels like its lost a lot of horse power already.

Keep in mind that the car is kept in the garage, and serviced every 3 months even though Nissan suggests it only needs it every 5.

These problems show horrible build quality. I will never buy a Nissan again.

French cars have not come a long way, British surveys rank Citroen, Peugeot, and Renault as the least reliable cars in their market.
