Are they sweet and affectionate? Do they greet strangers? Do they do well with other cats and dogs? How is the shedding? How often do they need to be brushed?
Maine Coon's are very affectionate. they love their people, and some like strangers almost as much. cat and dog behavior varies with the cat and how it was raised, but they generally get along. shedding is rough because their fur is long and thick because of cold weather in Maine (where the were originally bred). they need brushed every day, but return the dedication. my kitten has Maine Coon tendencies and i got a cat breed book for Chrisitmas with info like that in it.
