Vans warped tour in Oregon worth going too?

This year, Vans Warped Tour is being held
at the 'Portland Expo Center Parking Lot'.
Is it a big area?
Because I heard last years venue was terribly cramped and packed, where people didn't even enjoy there experience.
I think it was held by the rose garden or something like that?
I don't live in Oregon, so I'm not sure how big this parking lot actually is and if it's worth going there or not.
I usually go to the one in auburn Washington, but my friends and I wanted to go on more of a road trip to Oregon,
So please let me know!

Also, any good hotel recommendations in Portland?
