Vacation destination with Kids: San Francisco vs San Antonio?

I'll be taking a road trip to either one with one stop in between, with kids do you think San Antonio would offer so much more that we shouldn't even consider San Francisco? or does San Francisco offers both things for kids and adults.

I'd love to go to San Francisco but I just don't want my kids to be all bored to death. Which one would you go to?
