I'm in the market for a newer car but don't want to spend more than $5,000. is a VW Jetta or Passat from the early 2000's (2000, 2001, 2002) a good choice? I've heard that VW's are good, reliable, fuel efficient cars but that when they do need a repair, it will be costly. I'm a teen driver so I want to make sure that I'm spending my money wisely. I know that Toyota's & Honda's are an excellent car for teens and I've done research on them as well, but I'm really looking for information on VW's specifically right now. thanks
