stops midway? Hi, I am reviewing for a test next week and have no idea what section this would be under.
Two electrons are fixed 2.0 cm apart. Another electron is shot from infinity and stops midway between the two. What is its initial speed in m/s?
I wish I knew how to get started, but I assume I use 1/2 m v^2 = something related to the distance (0.020 m). but I don't know what that something is. Thanks for any help.
edit: Ha, I hope the prof puts this one on the test, good answer though I think they mean halfway between the two electrons (so 1 cm away)
