I forgot the titles of two books, might as well make them into one question. I can describe the books in little detail, the details I can remember. Guesses are also appreciated. 
1. A book about a few kids, who's parents died long ago, and are the last survivors of the human race, on a ship, which can talk, and is almost like a parent figure... Cover has ship which looks like a pink jellyfish on it.
2. A book in which a boy, who is the son of someone from French Canada who had a role in burning down a theater. The boy is not allowed to answer the phone. When he does, he comes in contact with a vengeful victim of the fire, who almost kills him.
