Transmission malfunction service warning for a 06 BMW 550i?

So this transmission malfunction service warning pops up sometimes and my car turns on but the gears will not shift,the car only has 64000 miles and does not feel like a transmission problem,I was told it may be my battery sending the computer wrong signals so I changed it but tht did not help.. So I was wondering what the problems may be?

took the car to a trustworthy indy and have them inspect it for you. at this point, no one could give you an accurate answer, there isnt enough information for diagnosis,what is more, most people up here dont know that much about cars, i had been here since christmas and i have seen enough wrong answer given out everyday.
