Toyota Hilux 92 4x4 has no electrical power + wont start?

Hello, i have recently bought a 1992 Toyota Hilux 4x4 and within the past 3 weeks, it has not started so i jump started it then drove it into town and because it was raining we put the windscreen wippers, fan and then the indicator on and everything stopped working!!!! didnt turn engine off till we got home and then it would not start, nothing even made a noise or anything? Please help, would prefer not to take it to auto electrician as they cost aallloott ;/

Since the truck runs once it is jump-started, that means that the alternator and charging circuit is functioning properly. I would first suspect the battery and/or the battery connections. You can try charging the battery with a charger but if it doesn't hold a charge, it may need to be replaced. Also clean the battery posts and post clamps and inspect the battery cables for damage.
