This news about Angelina Jolie's double mastectomy is absolute Hollywood hogwash?

Why is the news and media making such a big deal about Angelina Jolie's double mastectomy, this happens all the time to many women so why should anyone give a dam when it happens to just some hollywood actress i'm not trying to be mean or anything I just can't understand why people could bother caring so much.

I think she is a simpleton, but hey my grandma had breast cancer and it's her body. I think brad wont stay with her. she did what she felt she had to do.

She is a role model to women and she is telling everyone to bring awareness of the condition that caused her to do it. Kind of like an inspiration to other women who might be going through the same thing.

People who are well known will forever be in the public eye. It isn't that she has done anything amazingly inspirational and unique, it's just that she wants everyone to know about it and admire her for it.
