Terrified skiers stranded on ski lift battered by 70mph winds

Horror scenes unfolded on the slopes of a ski resort in northern Italy's Aosta Valley on March 28: a skier and her friend feared for their lives after becoming stranded 30 feet in the air on a ski lift when powerful winds of up to 70mph began violently tossing them around. The couple clung on for dear life for around 40 minutes before being rescued.
