Telus/blackberry ripped me off?

So I have a blackberry curve which was covered under insurance and telus Is the carrier so here's the problem I sent my phone in with minimum physical damage to be repaired there was no problems with software working perfectly fine besides a couple scratches so I sent it in and blackberry called a week later saying it's my fault so they won't fix it, that was fine I said whatever so they sent it back. When it arrived back at telus and i came to pick it up the lady put the battery back In my phone and it made aloud noise and now soudenly doesn't work at all doesn't turn on. I talked to a few people on the phone from the telus store explaining the Problem , besides bing transferred around none did anything and none will help the best offer I got was I had to pay 200 dollars for a new phone.... I am furious I should not have to pay when they broke it...
