Styling tips? My hair has no style to it..?

My hair is medium length. I got it cut in a sleek style but it's grown out and now when I straighten my hair it just goes puffy which I hate. It's not long enough to look nice and sleek in a long ponytail which I like and if I put it in a bun, I look like a boy. It's so frustrating.

Does anyone have any tips?

Use a flat iron to control the puffiness and you will be a lot happier.
