SONY ERICSSON PHONE MODEL # TM717 PLEASE HELP!!?

have a Sony Ericsson Phone TM717 and i call myself and i can hear myself on the other phone with my friends phone but i cannot speak through it can anyone tell me what wrong with it i have had it for about a year but it is in still great condition and i have not dropped it can anyone help me figure this out?
Correction: I cant hear the people trying to call me.

try to reset ur phone's setting, it will ask for code and if i m not wrong by default sonyericsson code is "0000" or you can try "1234". it won't delete your contacts, but it will change all settings to its original condition when it was bought. there is no assurity that this will fix the problem, but it is worth trying, best of luck
