...help students at failing schools? Hi everyone,

I have to write a 3 page report on this question and was hoping if anyone could help me with a guideline. I need to know who the proponents are that agree and disagree with this question and why. Thank in advance for your time.

"Some proponents argue that standards and accountability measures will help students at failing schools most of all. Why do they think this is the case."

From the research I have done, it seems more people are disagreeing that standards and accountability is not helping but making it worst for failing schools.

I coulnt tell you who the proponents are they are for and against it but I can tell you why I'm against it. its as simple as this. when there is an excessive amount of pressure on meeting standards the standards get lowered so that more students meet the standards. the value of the education the student has received is very low. We've already seen examples of this with the "no child left behind act". in an effort to not leave any students behind they lowered the standards.
