(2005) or BMW 320i e46 (2003)? All cars between $12-14000, around 100-125,000 kms and this is my first car. I am not too concerned about the cost to repair, more the likely hood that i will need to repair.
I know all 3 are available in manual but the reason im am looking at the multitronic cvt (audi) and selespeed transmission (alfa) is becuase, although i can drive manual i prefer to have the auto, or at least no clutch
I know BMW is probably the most reliable but it is so common!
the alfa is the best looking but i've heard the selespeed transmission can be quite dodgy, although i havent been able to find a record of any problems once the newer models where released but i dont know if that means they solved the problem.
The Audi again the transmission is the problem, the conventional auto is only available in the 3 litre model, which is out of my price range. the cvt auto ive heard is a little dodgy too, is this just media scare or a serious issue?
Thanks for the help, much appreciated
