So my old feature phone is starting to o to crap and it's either get a "new" feature phone which only has talk and text, or get a smartphone. I have verizon and I would be paying for the data charges yself. I need something to act as an ereader for school, but also be connected to the Internet most times and be portable. I own an older laptop and a 4th generation iPod touch already. A tablet would be great for reading and having schoolbooks on it and typing word documents but I could also do the same on a smartphone. Should I cough up the extra 20$ a month and get a smartphone and all I need in one portable package, or get the asus transformer tablet and have larger screen and battery life but not as much access to the Internet and the same processing speed?
