Should I get a PSP 3000 or a Nintendo 3DS?

I have the original DS, and I have played many of the Nintendo games, so I'm kinda getting bored of Nintendo. I've played a PSP, and I think that the games for it are really good and the graphics are much better.
Are the graphics and games on the 3DS a lot better than the original ones and better than that of a PSP? Mainly, I just need one of those new handheld consoles that has a lot to offer. Price is also quite an issue for me.

definitely the 3ds i bought a brand new one yesterday(wednsday b4 thanksgiving) worth every single penny trust me the the ar games are absolutely mind blowing as well as the graphics and games.

i didnt read your details but im just gonna say this. the psp is dead. no more games will be released for it just like the ps2 died not too long ago.

3ds is a best console to have you can even play pokemon in there!!!
buy it while there a free game from e-shop (which will end on 2012)
