I have a 2004 V6 Ford Mustang with manual transmission and 60,000 miles. I just recently did the 60K mile service which included changing out the transmission fluid (which I did myself) and replaced with Amsoil transmission fluid. And I used Amsoil ATF, and yes, that is what is recommended for my car even though my car is manual.
Anyway, in general, I've noticed that lately shifting has become a little harder to do (just have to put more muscle into it), especially at higher RPMs (we're talking only 3000 or so here). It's particularly noticeable on 5th gear. What can be wrong?
