Dear forum administrator,
I'm writing from TV Licensing, as we've noticed that one of your forum members (wainus) has asked a question about their TV Licence in this discussion strand:
http://www.ihav.net/vb/gossip-rumors/whats-rumour-i-hear-about-tv-license-covering-internet-1210077.htm
We didn't want to jump in uninvited to answer the question and so I wondered if you would mind posting this response or giving us permission to answer the question?
"You need a TV Licence to watch or record TV programmes as they are being broadcast, regardless of which channel you're watching, which device you are using (TV, computer, laptop, mobile phone or any other), and how you receive them (terrestrial, satellite, cable, via the internet or any other way).
So, if for example you are watching last week’s Eastenders on BBC iPlayer, you won’t need a TV Licence. See this link for more information www.bit.ly/onlineview. Hope that answers your question."
Many thanks in advance,
Abigail Forbes
