After Saturday's close loss to the Golden State Warriors, Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant stuck around the Bay Area to attend Super Bowl 50 and serve as a sideline photographer for The Players Tribune, the athlete-led website for which he serves as deputy publisher. Acting as a media member seems like a pretty stark role reversal for a player who has become one of the NBA's preeminent ombudsmen, but from the sound of it, KD really enjoyed taking the Tribune and the NFL up on what he called "a dream offer" ... and, from the looks of it, star teammate Russell Westbrook kind of enjoys having a brand new media member to put through the wringer.

Check out Russ getting his mock on, no turtleneck, behind KD during a chat with reporters on Monday ahead of OKC's visit to Talking Stick Resort Arena to take on the Phoenix Suns:

That's just great sneak-attack chop-bustin' by Westbrook. Sometimes, your friend's kind of going on and on about some cool thing he did, and the only reasonable response is to rock out with your mock out. Get a load of Mockingjay: Part 3 over here. It was a regular Mock 'n' Jock B-Ball Jam at shootaround; truly, it was a Mock of Ages.
Durant told reporters that the toughest part of snapping from the sideline was capturing Denver Broncos defensive end Von Miller: "I had my camera just focused on him before the play, but I still couldn't catch him because he was coming off the line so quick." So now, as a result of covering the game, Durant knows what it's like to be an offensive tackle on the Carolina Panthers, and what it's like to feel the wrath of Westbrook's jeering jests. Sounds like a pretty productive off day for the former MVP.
