My wife and I will be celebrating our first anniversary in JULY, and are looking to stay somewhere on the beach. We live in the TEXAS, so we're pretty much sick of the beaches (if that is what you would call them) here.
What we're looking for is a romantic getaway and enjoy the company of each other. What I'm getting at is that, within reason, I don't want to go somewhere that's crowded with people and children.
Also, and most importantly, we want to go somewhere that has great restaurants and shopping within a reasonable distance from an oceanfront hotel.
I am up for any suggestions. We REALLY wanted to do vancouver, BC but couldn't afford it when we put the pencil to paper.
