Resetting my iPhone 4?

So, I was wondering if I could rest my iPhone cause its really slow non of my apps are downloading fast anymore, my Internet is slow. So, I wanna to know if I could reset it but I'm afraid to reset it and it messes up my connection with Cricket. So, can anyone could help me? Thanks

double tap the home button, close all the apps that will appear at the bottom, if you dont do this often, chances are every app zou have is running in the background, also to hard reset hold both buttons down at the same time until it turns off, it wont affect anything
