It appears Aqib Talib pulled a Plaxico Burress.
When news first broke that the Denver Broncos cornerback had been*shot, the details were awfully strange, as Talib told Dallas police,*“Everything was a blur and I was too intoxicated to remember what happened,” the location of the shooting – either a nightclub or a neighborhood park (or a grassy knoll, perhaps?)*– was called into question, and a police report claimed the bullet entered his right thigh and exited his*right calf, which suggested it traveled straight down his leg.

Contrary to his own statement, Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib reportedly shot himself in the leg. (Getty Images) Now, there’s an explanation for this magic bullet.
While Talib told police he was shot in a park on the night of June 5, despite reports he was one of three people “accidentally” shot during a fight at V Live nightclub that evening, police believe the reigning Super Bowl champion shot himself in the leg, according to WFAA-TV police beat reporter Rebecca Lopez, who has been on the forefront of this story since it first developed four months ago.
Sources say Dallas PD has completed the Aqib Talib case. They've determined the Broncos cornerback was not shot by someone but shot himself.

Initially Talib told officers he was shot while standing in a park on June 5th. But, police unfounded that claim.

You’ll remember Burress shot himself at a New York City nightclub in December 2008*– the same year he too won a Super Bowl*– earning*a four-game suspension from the New York Giants and ultimately a 20-month prison bid for criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment.
Both the NFL and Dallas police have yet to determine whether Talib faces any discipline*for the incident. The three-time Pro Bowl defensive back, who has three interceptions already this season, including one returned for a touchdown, was arrested in Florida for simple battery and resisting arrest in 2009 as well as aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in Texas four years ago.
