We're flying into Houston on August 28th. Our cruise leaves from Galveston August 31st and returns September 5th and we leave Houston September 9th.
We plan to rent a car while we're there but it's all so confusing. Originally we were planning on renting a car at the airport, returning it to the airport the day of the cruise, and getting the shuttle from the airport. But we'd really like some time to travel around and explore Galveston. There seems to be only one rental place anywhere near the departure location, and it's Enterprise. Even if we went with Enterprise (which we weren't planning to do because it's so much more expensive) how would we get from the rental place to the port, four miles away, and back again?
If we depart at 4:00pm what time should we be at the port?
This is our first cruise.
