It's ludicrous how long this has gone on. It's literally a mix of Pedophile and Bear, with the same pronunciation, therefore producing "pedo," pronounced the same as in pedophile, and "bear," obviously being pronounced like the animal, "bear".

tl;dr: Peh-doh-bear.
