...one room for three people? If cruise lines charge, say, $1000 per stateroom, that means $1000 per person too, right? So, would getting three separate rooms for three people be the same price as getting one room for three people?

Hope this wasn't too convoluted of a question. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

Per person. usually have limit to amount of people per room. defo more expensive to have room each as have to pay single occupancy.

Its priced at per person based on double occupancy so $1000 per person is $2000 for 2 people in one cabin. If they each have a separate cabin they still pay $2000 so it would be $4000 for 2 cabins with one person each. The 3rd person is usually less, perhaps an add'l $400 or so. So one cabin with 3 people would cost about $2400 total. 3 cabins with 1 person each would cost $6000 total for all 3 cabins. Sometimes cruise lines do have single person specials but these are few and far between, generally are only offered on less popular cruises such as repositionings or at off times of the year.
