No update for nokia lumia 800?

apparently the new windows 7.8 update is available for my phone but when i go on the ZUNE software to download it, Nothing appears and my phone says theres no update available? i know its not my region as my friend who lives down the road just got hers! my mobile network is talk mobile.... will i ever get it? if so does anyone know roughly how long?? cheers :3

You get an update when it is available for your NETWORK. Not when Microsoft/Nokia releases it
When they release it, update goes to all the networks to add their own stuff on to software (like locking software). So if your network is lazy or slow or virtual network (Tesco/Virgin/GifGaff) then you might be waiting for months
Note: your phone will still notify you saying that update is available but it's not entirely true as your network did not release it yet
