engine or rebuilt one? Want to do internal engine work on a Nissan altima 2008. The engine rattling badly, but car runs. Do I need to install a new engine or rebuilt one, how much is approximate cost? The basic and power train warranty voided by Nissan due to water damage to car. The engine is 2.5 L. and the car is Nissan Altima Hybrid, 2008 with 22K miles. The hybrid system is still under Nissan warranty.
