My brand new motorola triumph wont show typing?

When i put it into landscape mode it types but doesnt show up until i press done. Also sometimes it pulls the keyboard down as im trying to type a message. Also when im typing it will move and insert it into another area. I got this phone 2 days ago. What should I do? Should i ask for a new one? Thanks so much i really need help with this.

Call motorola Tech Support and report it 800-331-6456

check what 3rd party apps youve added and you can try resetting
