my blue ray player is leaking a brownish vinegar smelling liquid is this normal?

when i opened my players cd drive for the first time the liquid poured out in a small puddle is this something to be concerned about ?

YEAH! Definatley!!! Thats rust!! Its liquidy and vrownish and it smells like rust or blood and vinegar together? That means the battery has been exposed or its just leaked.. I recomend u throw away ur blueray or bring it to a shop! That happened to me!

Uhm... I'm sorry, i'm taking a moment to laugh- not at you. This just reminds me...

I used to be in NCT (Networking Computer Tech) and somebody stuck a cheez-it in one of the CD drives in the Education building. Note the two words "Education building".

Anyway, to your question:
DO NOT turn your blu-ray on. Somebody probably put something inside the disk drive that should not be in there. Probably vinegar.
