My 96 chevrolet corsica's power steering belt came off...and now battery sign...

...inside is on, makes a funny...? Now the car makes a really funny noise and it starts to get hot pretty quickly. Would all of this be caused by the steering belt or do you think there is another problem "my battery light is also always on now"

All of this stuff is driven by your serpentine belt. Do not drive your car,and have the belt replaced.

Many cars use one belt to run many different things. The power steering pump, power brake pump, air conditioner, alternator, cooling fan, and water pump. Any or all of these might have been driven my that belt (I'm not familiar with that particular engine). Therefore, driving without the belt may be damaging your engine severely.
Fix it.
