The mouse pad on my laptop keeps darting around the screen when I try to use it or it just jumps, it's driving me crazy!! I have a recently new hardrive so not sure what the problem is .. yes I've tried restarting.
Get a wireless mouse it makes life more livable, I personally could never use a mousepad for anything worth doing on the computer because of the inaccuracy and like you said the jumpiness
